Industry solutions

AI SaaS · Gaming · Video · Social · E-commerce

The same "going global" journey looks completely different across business models. AI products live or die on inference cost, gaming on latency and DDoS, cross-border e-commerce on scrapers and price integrity. Here it is broken down by industry, starting with what actually matters for each.

If this sounds familiar

  • You are unsure whether your industry should fix network, security or cost first
  • You copied someone else architecture and later found the priorities were wrong
  • You cannot tell which capabilities are mandatory and which are nice to have
  • Growth broke the architecture and you cannot locate the bottleneck

What we put in place

AI SaaS and LLM applications

Three problems dominate: inference cost, runaway bills from abused APIs, and latency calling model services across borders. The edge adds caching, rate limiting, authentication and multi-model routing — turning uncontrolled calls into a governed entry point.

Gaming

Players are unforgiving about latency and gaming is a prime DDoS target. What matters is network-layer mitigation, nearby ingress and connection stability — not web caching. UDP and custom protocols need dedicated protection.

Video and streaming

Two metrics define success: delivery cost and rebuffer rate. The levers are cache hit ratio, origin fetch strategy, bitrate adaptation, plus hotlink protection.

Social and content platforms

The dominant threat is automated account creation, content scraping and spam. Bot management and behavioural signals matter more than a classic WAF.

Cross-border e-commerce

It comes down to scraper defence, price integrity and availability during campaigns. You must survive peak traffic while telling promo abuse and competitor scraping apart.

Boundaries and prerequisites

  • Industry solutions are about ordering priorities, not a different product set — the underlying platform is the same
  • Gaming with UDP and proprietary protocols has very different capability boundaries from web workloads and needs separate assessment
  • AI cost optimisation depends heavily on call patterns; reliable judgement requires real invocation data first
  • Industries serving users in mainland China (gaming, live streaming) carry additional compliance and licensing requirements

Common questions

What should an AI company going global fix first?

Usually API authentication and rate limiting. Without them, one abuse run can generate an inference bill you cannot absorb — more urgent than latency.

Why is a CDN not enough for games?

Game traffic is real-time persistent connections and UDP, which CDNs do not handle, and attacks concentrate at the network layer. You need network-layer protection and nearby ingress, not content caching.

Does a small team need the full stack?

No. Start with the single most painful problem, make it work, then expand. For most teams step one is global acceleration or a WAF — not everything at once.
